Instructional Clinics Try Me Week

Not sure which clinic to take? Try one, two or as many as you would like for FREE during TRY ME WEEK. Each clinic will be offering a demo of the regularly scheduled class. All instructional clinics will be available. Participants will be entered into a drawing for each demo they attend. Two students will be selected to receive a coupon for a free Instructional clinic of their choice. So try one (or four!) to find the clinic that is right for you.

Classes offered daily. Visit the Student Recreation Center website for class schedules. Valid Panther ID required for entry.

Mega One Stop Shop

Enrollment Services
The Mega-One-Stop-Shop is a centralized enrollment services center where new students can receive assistance with all their enrollment needs, as well as additional support for getting off to a successful start at Georgia State. Services include: One Stop Shop (Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Registrar), Immunization, University Housing, Auxiliary and Support Services, Bookstore, and Information Systems & Technology.

Trying to find your way around? Stop by one of the Ask Me Booths located around campus during the first week of classes. Faculty, staff and students will be on hand to guide you with directions and maps, plus you’ll get a Georgia State freebie!
Accessible Route Tours

Office of Disibility Services
The Office of Disability Services will be providing students that are blind or low vision with the option to pair up with a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist during Panther Welcome Week to help them find an accessible route to class and up to three other locations that the student may visit regularly. The tour will start at the Office of Disability Services, Suite 230 in the Student Center, and will last for one hour for each student that has pre-registered.

Students that are blind or low vision must register for this event by completing the registration form in the Office of Disability Services. Registration for this event will open on August 5th -August 20th from 8:30am-5:15pm. You may call the office at 404-413-1560 for more information.

Walk with the Man, Not the Hand

The University Police Department likes to say, “Walk with the man, not with the hand.” The Police Pedestrian Safety Team will be at various intersections around campus educating and rewarding students for safely crossing the busy campus streets. For more information, contact University Police.
Student Alumni Association Welcome Back BBQ

Georgia State students are invited to bring in the new school year at the 3rd Annual Welcome Back BBQ. Open to all members of the Student Alumni Association and those who want to join. Have fun getting to know other members as you compete in games for prizes and enjoy free food! Be sure to wear your official SAA Shirt and receive a free gift for T-Shirt Day! Not a member? Join Student Alumni Association online or join during the event to receive your SAA gear. Members of SAA receive a coupon for 10% off their textbooks at the Georgia State Bookstore!The event is open to all GSU students, however students must be members of the Student Alumni Association to receive a meal ticket.

Ever wanted to experience climbing a rock wall but didn’t want to pay? Come tackle Touch the Earth’s 35-foot climbing rock wall. It’s free to climb. Any and all levels of experience are welcome.
