Freshman Convocation is a formal induction ceremony to welcome all new freshmen to Georgia State. Join Dr. Becker as he officially inducts the new freshman class into the campus community through a medallion ceremony and recitation of the Freshman Pledge.Honorable John Lewis, U.S. Congressman and author of March: Book One, which has been selected as the Fall 2014 First-Year Book, will be the keynote speaker. Festivities continue afterward with a Block Party for the Class of 2018 and their families.This event is mandatory for all freshman students, both residential and commuter.
